Complaining is good for the soul! Get it off your chest, don't let
those frustrations fester, and learn to laugh at your situation rather
than cry!
I have been writing for more than six months now about how challenging my life can be, I mutter things under my breath like "kids ruin *everything*!"
and my husband doesn't want to hear it. So I write, I get it off my chest, and I don't take my frustrations out on the tiny humans in my house (but I give their stuffed animals a well-deserved kick every now and then.) You know if you have kids,
they DO ruin tons of stuff, and sometimes we just have to gripe about
it (out of their earshot! this is why we have the internet!)
Join
us here for a Pity Party! Link up your whiniest, complainingest blog
post, or rant in the comments section below. This is a safe place to
complain about your life without worrying that someone will shoot you
down with a snarky "first world problems" or tell you to otherwise "get over yourself." Every single person has their level of frustrations, their "Peter Principle,"
or their proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Every person
faces challenges and while they may be able to handle the big stuff and
suffer in silence, it's dropping their new iPhone in the toilet that
makes them want to scream.
Complain about it here!
Every
month, on the last day of the month, I'll be hosting a Pity Party! No
rules about following people, no rules about language in your post, just
this:
1. If you don't have something nice to say to a fellow Pity Partier, don't say anything at all!
(And
please, pretty please, turn off Captcha! or other word verification.
It just makes it harder for people to comment, and those fuzzy, curvy
words make me dizzy.)
Ready to party? Grab your
favorite beverage, link up or comment below, and read about some
challenges that other people are facing. If you have some advice or
encouragement, share it!

ReplyDeleteglad you could join us! misery does love company! :-)
DeleteThanks, this is a GREAT idea! Everyone needs to vent. Especially about the issue I posted about, it's such a SUPER SERIOUS PROBLEM! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteha! that IS a serious problem - I've faced that myself! I did leave you a nugget of wisdom in the comments! and you should totally take my advice, cause my college roommate says I'm always right!
DeleteThanks for the invite! Nothing to complain about this week...I've been too busy to complain in longer than a 60 second burst...but I will make a mental note and perhaps join in soon! Christine
ReplyDeleteugh, I've had days like that! I hope you get a chance to breathe again soon!!
DeleteMy post is from V Day and it's probably the complainiest post I have...you can tell because of all the swearing and bitter in it. Thanks for the invite!
ReplyDeletehahaha, I love the image of the dude shooting a gun at Cupid! This is the place for bitter swearing! Welcome!
DeleteI don't have a blog post - mostly because my inlaws occasionally check what I used to call a blog to see pictures of the girls - but I need to just say that teenage girls suck ass and I'm ready to ship the ungrateful, irresponsible, sluttastic brat back to her mother's.
ReplyDeleteoh wonderful - I can't wait until I have 3 of them all at the same time. tip: blog anonymously. :-) make up a name, and make up names for all the ungrateful, irresponsible, sluttastic brats you encounter. :-)
Deletestart with a fake gmail account and go from there.
My husband is on a freakin' weeklong business trip, so I think I offer a terrifying complaining rant right now--I suck at doing this by myself! No blog post to share, but I love the idea of supporting each other :)
ReplyDeleteOh that totally sucks for you! I mean, that would be as close to a vacation as I could get right now for me, but I know it can be rough to single-mom it for a while. You have my support for sure! feel free to drop a rant here any time!
DeleteHey! Thanks for inviting me to link up! I'm late...as usual. I would promise to be on time next time but that'd probably be a lie. This is a great idea for a linky and I can't wait to read everyone's rants! =)
